Meeting Summary:
A special meeting of the Brecksville Broadview Heights Board of Education was held on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Brecksville Broadview Heights Education Center in Brecksville, Ohio. The primary purpose of this public meeting was to consider personnel recommendations, with no public participation. The meeting was live-streamed and recorded. All Board members present—Mrs. Galek, Mrs. Kramer, Mrs. Kwiatkowski, Ms. O'Mara, and Mr. Dosen—approved the certified personnel recommendations. A key recommendation involved the hiring of Kati Mann as the new middle school assistant principal. She comes from Brunswick City Schools with over 12 years of building leadership experience and a master's in reading. This position became available due to Spencer Warders' advancement to an intermediate head principal role in Aurora.
The board also discussed the need to fill a math teacher position, which became vacant due to a new hire's family situation. They expressed confidence in finding a quality replacement or, if necessary, hiring a long-term substitute.
The next regular Board of Education meeting is scheduled for July 16th. The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn, which passed unanimously.
In addition to written minutes, an audio or video recording is retained in BoardDocs.
